Welcome to the Chase Cross Baptist Church
Chase Cross Baptist Church is a group of people who know Jesus and want to know him more. We are committed to enabling others to discover more about Our Lord, Jesus Christ for themselves. We meet together every Sunday Morning at 10.30am for praise, teaching and prayer. Each week we have a range of activities taking place, catering for all ages.
As a church we seek to be a blessing to each other and also to the local community, we hope we have the opportunity to bless you.
If after looking around you have any questions, would like to know more or you would like us to Pray for you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Our mission statement at Chase Cross Baptist Church is:
To glorify God by being and making disciples of Jesus Christ through the power of the Spirit.
Our verse for 2020 is Hewbrews 12:2
Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish.
What We Believe
We firmly believe that the message of Jesus Christ is for all and that we have a role in communicating this to the world through living distinctively. As Baptists we believe Baptism is a key part of our journey of faith, expressing that our lives are to be defined by Jesus’ death and resurrection.
We believe that Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to carry on what He had started, equipping and empowering the church to be the people of God.
We describe the Bible as the ‘Word of God’ because we believe that its writers were inspired by God’s Spirit. As such, it has authority to guide both what we believe and how we live our lives.
What Is A Baptist
Baptists take the example shown to us in the New Testament, We believe that baptism is for those who believe and able to declare that Jesus is Lord. As a symbol of Jesus’ claim on our lives, baptism by immersion is practised, representing a desire to die to self and to live for Jesus Christ.
A Baptist is someone who acknowledges the Lordship of Jesus Christ. All of our worship and services centre on Him. He is the head of the body, the church.
Baptists believe that everyone that attends a Baptist church has a role to play and can use their God-given skills and talents for the good of the church and the community.
